Energy building foods for your body

Both men and women benefit from a nutritious, balanced diet. Since men carry more muscle tissue and are generally larger than women, however, they need more calories and energy sources than women.

Both men and women benefit from a nutritious, balanced diet. Since men carry more muscle tissue and are generally larger than women, however, they need more calories and energy sources than women.

Legumes<>
Beans, peas and peanuts are sources of magnesium that plays a core role in your body's energy production. When you exercise, magnesium is redistributed throughout your body to help energy molecules reach where they are needed the most.

Spinach
Spinach is known to be one of the best sources of iron for your body, which helps build energy. The consumption of spinach helps deliver energy-sustaining oxygen to your cells. You can add vitamin C rich foods to your diet as well like strawberries or oranges to help improve absorption.

Nuts
Almonds, walnut, cashews and pecans are some of the energy building foods. These dry fruits contain protein for endurance and coenzyme Q 10, a nutrient that helps produce energy inside our cells. This combination makes them an ideal fuel choice for quick energy jolt and long-term endurance.

Eggs
Eggs are known to be one of the best sources of energy. Eggs offer many of the same benefits as that of lean meats, including proteins, vitamin B and iron.

Bananas
Bananas are known to be a favourite among bodybuilders, because they produce potassium which helps muscles contract properly as well as the fruit sugars like fructose and glucose. Glucose is rapidly digested and turned into energy, so that you start feeling more alert right away.

Dark chocolates
Dark chocolates are known to boost your metabolism by lowering your stress level. It also helps increase alertness and sharpens your cognitive skills for a short term period. A study has found that chocolates contain flavanols that increases blood flow to key areas of your brain for about two to three hours, which helps fight fatigue.
