| GURGAON: A 36-year-old personal security officer, who was deployed at slain liquor tycoon Ponty Chadha's farmhouse in Chhatarpur, shot himself with his licensed revolver late on Wednesday night at his house in Sanjay Gram.
After returning home drunk, he had a quarrel with his wife before killing himself, according to police. Police have seized the weapon in question, a .32 bore revolver.
The victim has been identified as Rakesh Yadav, resident of C-24, Sanjay Gram Colony in Gurgaon. After taking VRS from BSF, Yadav joined the Ponty Chadha group three years ago and was deployed at Chadha's farmhouse in Chattarpur.
"About 11pm Wednesday, Yadav reached home drunk. This led to a fight between him and his wife who never liked his coming home drunk when there were relatives visiting the house. After a few minutes of argument, Yadav pulled out his revolver and shot at his right temple with his revolver," said ASI Sakender Singh.
